Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Cloud Forest Martial Arts Institute app, website, and membership, operated by Greensboro Martial Arts Academy LLC (“Cloud Forest”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Your account

Provide accurate information and keep it current.
Accounts for students under 18 are opened and managed by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the student’s behalf.
Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.

Membership, billing, and cancellation

Membership includes an annual club fee and, for some programs, monthly tuition. Fees are shown before you enroll.
Recurring fees renew automatically through Stripe until you cancel. You can view and manage your billing in the app.
30-day cancellation notice. Membership is not a fixed-term contract, but it requires at least 30 days’ notice to cancel. When you cancel, your payments continue for 30 more days from the date of notice and then stop. You remain responsible for all payments scheduled during that 30-day notice period.
No refunds. All payments are non-refundable, including any payment made during the 30-day notice period. We do not prorate partial periods.
To cancel, use the billing section of the app or contact the front desk. You will receive confirmation of your cancellation and its effective date.
Some programs are taught by independent instructors whose tuition may be billed separately. We will make the payment arrangement clear at enrollment.

Trial passes

Members may receive trial passes to share with friends. Each pass gives a new visitor a two-week trial as described at the time of issue. Passes have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash, are for first-time visitors, and may be limited or withdrawn at the school’s discretion. Any arrangement between a member and the person they invite is between those individuals.

Conduct on and off the mat

Follow your instructors’ directions and the school’s safety rules and etiquette.
Treat fellow students, staff, and the community with respect. Harassment, threats, and abusive behavior are not allowed.
Use community posts, messages, and other features lawfully and respectfully. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Health and assumption of risk

Martial arts and physical training carry inherent risks of injury. You agree to train within your ability, to follow safety instructions, and to consult a physician before beginning if you have any health concern. Your enrollment waiver and release apply to your participation. Nothing in the app is medical advice.

Online courses and content

Courses, videos, lessons, and other materials are provided for your personal, non-commercial use as a member. You may not copy, share, record, resell, or redistribute them. All content, including the Wei (衛) family curriculum, names, and marks, belongs to Cloud Forest or its licensors and is protected by law.

Service availability

We work to keep the app running but provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change, or discontinue features.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cloud Forest and Greensboro Martial Arts Academy LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Guilford County, North Carolina.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
